Section 1 - Name
The name of this organization shall be the Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation (herein after referred to either as the Federation or as MHHF).

Section 2 - Purpose
The purpose of the Federation shall be to perpetuate our hunting heritage by promoting a safe and ethical participation in hunting and in the shooting sports.

This shall be accomplished by delivering a course of instruction in hunter education, which includes the safe handling of firearms, scientific research-based wildlife conservation, and an introduction to hunting, while improving the professional skills of volunteer hunter education instructors.

Said organization is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

Section 3 - Mission
The mission of the Federation shall be to work in concert with similar minded entities to enhance the Missouri hunter education program by striving to ensure the continuation of the hunting tradition.

Section 4 - Philosophy
MHHF is a service-oriented federation of members and affiliates who are passionate about our hunting heritage. Our members experience the personal satisfaction of introducing newcomers to the shooting sports; to a hunting tradition that has been handed down from past generations; and to the enjoyment of being in Missouri's outdoors. We especially enjoy sharing these experiences with youth.

MHHF members work together to organize activities and support other hunter education initiatives without regard to individual benefit or compensation. Our members take pride in the hunting tradition regardless of method, and we strive to preserve this heritage for future generations. With a focus on continuing the use of hunting as an essential component of the North American Model for Wildlife Conservation, we desire to propagate safe hunting practices, the ethics of fair chase, and a respect for and the appreciation of wildlife.
