Each Director uses their unique skills to help guide the Federation
and build a foundation for ongoing growth.

JD Selby

  • Served in the US Army (Airborne qualified Field Artillery Officer)

  • Former team Captain of the Army Skeet and Trap Team (competed in national championship 4 years)

  • Over 10 years of leading/ organizing Fortune 100 company wide volunteer teams/ events

  • Author of multiple books including, ‘Take That Kid Fishing”, “A return to North American Waterfowl”, “Missouri’s Great Flood of 93—Revisiting a Natural Disaster” and many more.

  • Past Board Member of the Outdoor Writers Association, The Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers, The Southeastern Outdoor Press Association, and the Missouri Outdoor Communicators

  • Inducted into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame, Missouri Waterfowler’s Hall of Fame and the Park Hill High School Alumni Hall of Fame

  • Actively promotes youth in outdoor activity by developing single parent programs, mentally and physically challenged youth programs and through his writings
