Shoot for the Future

Join us for our 14th Annual Shoot for the Future sporting clays tournament on August 31 at 9:00am at Powder Creek Shooting Park in Lenexa, KS. The event will feature awards, a silent auction, and a raffle! Register or become a sponsor here: https://www.mhhf.us/store

Gather a team or shoot as an individual. Prizes will be awarded on the Lewis Class system and all scoring will be individual scores. Special prizes will also be awarded to youth shooters. Annual Membership Meeting 2024

The Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation, Inc. is hosting our 2024 Annual Membership Meeting on March 24th, from 2-4pm in the Conservation Room at the Bass Pro Shops in Independence, MO. This event will feature a guest speaker from the Missouri Department of Conservation. We will have door prizes and hors d’oeuvres catered by Hereford House. The Board of Directors will share updates to MHHF coming for 2024, the membership will vote on officers and board members, and we will recognize our 2024 award recipients. This will be a great time to reconnect with friends and meet new members of our organization, sharing our passion for the great outdoors.

This event is for MHHF members and their guests. If you would like to attend, and are not a member or guest of a member, you can join MHHF online or become a member at the event.

New Mentor Orientation

New Mentor Orientation

We are hosting a New Mentor Orientation on Monday, October 16, 2023 at from 6-8pm in Raymore. This orientation is required for those who are interested in mentoring new youth hunters with our organization. You can find our clinic schedule here: www.mhhf.us/clinics.

If you are not yet a member of MHHF or have not filled out our MOU, we will have those to fill out at the event. If you are not a member of MHHF, you can join at this meeting. The annual membership for the remainder of 2023 is $20 and the lifetime membership for the remainder of 2023 is $250, both will be increasing on January 1, 2024.

Please feel free to invite other people who might be interested in mentoring with us! This is a great opportunity for them learn about MHHF and see how we introduce youth and their families to the outdoors through hunting and shooting sports.

Instructor Mentor Rendezvous

Thank you to our current members for directly helping us train new youth hunters and their families in the best and safest way possible!  If you volunteer in any aspect at our MHHF clinics whether that be mentoring, instructing, or volunteering, the MHHF Board of Directors invites you to attend our Rendezvous, Thursday, August 24th from 5-8pm in Garden City, MO.  You're welcome to bring your shotgun and ammo and break some clays from 5-6pm and we'll start eating at 6pm.  We would like to get your perspective on our clinic model and if you have any suggestions on improvements.  We will provide burgers and brats, condiments, water, and a couple sides.  Please bring a desert or a side to share and bring your own beverage.

Conservation Day at the Capitol

Join us for Conservation Day at the Capitol, Wednesday, April 5th in Jefferson City! We will be a guest of the Conservation Federation of Missouri and all are welcome to attend. This is a great opportunity to speak with your state legislators and let them know your opinions on conservation policy. Trevor and Shags from Columbia’s 96.7 KCMQ "The Morning Shag" radio show will be broadcasting live from the Capitol. You can also speak with some of CFM's other affiliate organizations up in the third floor rotunda. There will also be a live bald eagle!

Rep. Bruce Sassmann will be recognized as the 2022 Conservation Legislator of the Year at approximately 9:40 a.m. Legislative session will begin for the day at 10:00 a.m. You can learn more about Conservation Day at the Capitol by visiting https://confedmo.org/capitol-conservation-day/
